27th November 2008 - Level 1 and 2 Transfer Modules:
Transfer Modules for Coaches who hold 'old' BCU Coaching Qualficiations will be available soon that support coaches wishing to acheive the new Level 1 or 2 Coaching Awards. We are expecting these to be launched early in the new year.

Unfortunatley we do not yet have any further information to add to the statement below.
23rd October 2008 - UKCC Level 3 Update:
The new BCU UKCC Level 3 Coach Awards were due to go live on 1st September 2008. Due to unforeseen circumstances the BCU have been unable to achieve this aspiration. We are currently working on a press release to inform our members and partners of the revised plan, as soon as this is completed it will be posted here. Current BCU Level 3 Coaches and Trainees are likely to have the first opportunities to progress to UKCC Level 3, whilst Level 2 Coaches who wish to proceed in this direction are advised to complete the new 4 Star Leader, training and assessment, as this will be a prerequisite. Please accept our apologies for any disruption this may cause.
BCU Recognition of non UKCC Coaching Qualifications:
With the introduction of the new coaching award scheme there appears to be some concern regarding the impact this will have on existing coaches. The BCU will continue to recognise coaches with ‘old’ BCU Coaching Qualifications, (that are not endorsed by UKCC), whilst they remain ‘updated’, indefinitely. Coaches who choose not to remain updated will not be recognised by the BCU as active coaches and as such will loose any assessor endorsements.
Directory 2008:
Please note: The 'old style' level 1 and level 4 coaching awards have now finished. Unfortunately there was a mis-print in the Directory, which should have read 2006 not 2007. Sorry for any confusion.
