The Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 and the BCU (posted 24.05.2012)
The Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 recieved Royal Assent on 1st May 2012. It contains all of the new safeguarding and vetting requirements that will affect individuals in sport and recreation organisations who have contact with children and vulnerable adults. Read more.

BCU Coach Update Review (posted 05.04.2012)
The
BCU is reviewing the current coach update scheme and invites you to
contribute your views. We are keen to understand the views of coaches,
leaders, employers and deployers on the virtues and shortcomings of the
current scheme and desired featuresof the scheme as it develops. The
consultation runs until 31st May 2012.
Any
interested pary is invited to submit a response to the consultation. A
