TEAM GB CANOE & KAYAK 2012 HOPEFULS AUSTRALIA BOUND
Eight young canoeing athletes have been selected to represent Team GB
at the Australian Youth Olympic Festival (AYOF) in Sydney from 14-18 January 2009.
The Canoe Slalom athletes are:
Matthew Lister - 16 years old from Leeds
Thomas Brady - 17 years old from Stafford
(part of the Slalom Academy in Nottingham)
Rhys Davies - 17 years old from Aberyswth
Claire Kimberley - 17 years old from Stafford

Team GB Future Olympic Stars Training at Tees Barrage
Top national junior slalom canoeists Andrew Martin, 15, from Seaham and Callum Cresser, 11, from Darlington have been selected for an elite training camp for GB Canoeing taking place at the Tees Barrage on Saturday and Sunday 20 and 21 December.

National Water Sports Centre – White Water Course Upgrade.
November 24th – Feb/Mar 2009
Work is due to get underway on a major upgrade to the white water course at Holme Pierrepont making it a world-leading sporting facility. The £700,000 revamp funded by Sport England and developed extensively by the British Canoe Union has been given the go ahead by Nottinghamshire County Council and will see significant improvement both for recreational use and elite canoeing sports.
