Take part in Sainsbury's 'Active Kids' scheme 2010 - added 3 February 2010
Clubmark accredited clubs are now able to take part in Sainsbury's 'Active Kids' this year. From 17 February to 8 June 2010, Sainsbury's shoppers can earn Active Kids vouchers for every £10 they spend in a main store (£5 in Sainsbury's locals), petrol stations or online. These can be donated to local clubs for redemption against any equipment, resources and experiences featuered in the Active Kids 2010 catalogue. Clubs can register for the scheme by calling the Active Kids helpline on 0844 415 8440.

School Club Links Grant Scheme for 2009 - February 2009
Grants up to £1000 are now available for accredited clubs wishing to make new school club links or supporting existing links. Click here for more information; guidelines and application form.

Recent findings challenge the idea that Child Protection procedures create barriers and threats to volunteers. The research, conducted by sportscotland, found that volunteers supported the need for CRB disclosures and Child Protection. 75% of volunteers stated that disclosures give confidence that clubs provide a safe environment. Findings suggested that volunteers found a lack of time as a more significant barrier to volunteering.
